Throughout my life, I’ve had people look at me and say something to the effect of, “you are so young but so eloquent.” What they’re referencing is my use of words. I, thoroughly, enjoy and appreciate words, ever since I can remember. The truth is that all of us are specialists at something. I am “eloquent” with words, but I am not eloquent with hardware tools, computer science codes, laboratory research instruments, sewing threads and needles…
I mention all this for two important reasons.
First, discovering what you are “eloquent” with and at is one of most meaningful things in life. It is a gift from God for you to bless his heart and the world. Use it, embrace it and grow in it.
Second, realizing what you are not “eloquent” at and with saves you from heartache! In addition, for me, it also has a way of bringing me down and humbling me. While I am great at certain things, I am not God, Superman, or truly “ALL that”.
